Houseman – Basement Attendant

Job Purpose The Basement Attendant is in charge of maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of the car basement/parking area by performing cleaning duties, ensuring a neat and well-maintained environment for vehicles and residents/tenants.In addition to basement duties, the houseman will assist the housekeeping team in cleaning and preparing guest rooms and other hotel areas to meet brand and quality standards. This role position ensures that both basement and housekeeping services are delivered with efficiency, discretion, and a high standard of cleanliness, contributing to an exceptional guest experience. Primary Responsibilities General ResponsibilitiesSweep, mop, and wash the basement floors, ramps, and walkways.Remove dust, oil stains, and spills from parking surfaces.Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas.Clean walls, corners, staircases, and entrance/exit points in the basement.Ensure proper ventilation and report any unusual odours, leaks, or hazards.Use cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, pressure washers, blowers)Ensure all housekeeping facilities, including but not limited guest rooms, public areas, food and beverage outlets, minibar, laundry and specified back of house areas are cleaned according to departmental standardsAssist the Housekeepers through supplying rooms with clean linen, towels and room supplies, collect dirty laundry and deliver other relevant requested itemsPerform rotation cleaning duties as required.Ensure proper labelling and handling of guest laundry, staff uniforms, and special items
