We are seeking a skilled and organized Supply Chain Manager to oversee material and production planning, warehouse inventory, transportation activities, and material ordering for a defined product line. This role includes leading and managing a team of 5 to 10 individuals to ensure efficient logistics operations aligned with organizational standards and best practices. Experience with SAP, particularly in planning and material management, is essential. Familiarity with ordering materials from Europe would be highly advantageous.Key Responsibilities:Manage a team of 5 to 10 logistics and planning professionals.Oversee inventory management and ensure stock accuracy.Supervise planning activities integrated with SAP systems.Coordinate material ordering, with a focus on sourcing from Europe when required.Optimize warehouse layout and material flow, including kitting and line feeding.Coordinate transportation and follow up on shipments.Develop and implement packaging and handling instructions.Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies in logistics operations.Manage physical flow activities, both internally and subcontracted.Develop and execute a logistics continuous improvement roadmap.Monitor and reduce logistics costs while ensuring efficiency.Prepare and present supply chain performance reports.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, and planning (minimum 5 years).Strong background in industrial and warehouse operations.Proficiency in SAP, with expertise in planning and material management, is mandatory.Competence in production and material planning.Familiarity with material ordering, including sourcing from European suppliers, is recommended.Experience in 3PL management and value stream mapping.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Team management experience, including workload planning and development.This role is based in Nigel, Gauteng, and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational capabilities, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to manage complex logistics and planning processes effectively.
