Library Ideas, a book distributor with an office and warehouse within the city limits of Chattanooga, has an opening for a friendly, detail-oriented person to assist in various managerial duties. This full-time position has tasks that are split equally between performing the day-to-day duties of a warehouse employee and assisting the Warehouse Manager in their role. Job duties include checking and reconciling inventory, quality control, the supervision and training of employees on the assembling, picking, packing and shipping of books with electronic readers. Will include other duties as assigned, up to and including working on warehouse floor with fellow employees to assist in the fulfillment of orders. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and CTO.
Compensation starts at $30/hour, and is commensurate with qualification. We also offer generous paid time off, 10+ paid holidays, a company subsidized health plan, a 401k with company contribution, good working conditions, and other benefits.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a warehouse, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills. Management experience preferred. Must have High School diploma, but Associate's Degree or above preferred.
