Based in the Nashville area, New York, Berkeley and other locations, our teams are collaborative, innovative, dynamic, and passionate about the business. The world is reading, and it is our goal to connect as many people to the content they want in the simplest ways.  If you share that passion, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to contribute to a strategic part of the business that is evolving and expanding, we can’t wait to meet you!Required Qualifications:JD degree from an accredited law schoolAdmittance with a license to practice law as a member of the bar of the State of Tennessee or as in-house counsel in Tennessee (or eligibility for same)1-3 years of relevant experience practicing corporate law in a law firm or in-house (or a combination)Key Responsibilities:Drafts, reviews, edits and negotiates all types of commercial agreements including, without limitation, non-disclosure, licensing, purchasing, sales, vendor and other similar agreements.Provides legal support to assigned business units and organizational functions as determined by the VP & Asst. General Counsel, including without limitation:Establishes relationships and collaborates with internal clients to support and assist in the achievement of Ingram Content Group’s business objectivesMaintains and updates form agreements, contract management system and other databases used by the Legal DepartmentResearches and provides legal counsel and advice on a broad range of topics in a timely, thorough and effective manner; andAppropriately identifies and balances risks and benefits and proactively suggests risk-mitigating resolutions. Assists Chief Legal Officer, VP & Assistant General Counsel and other in-house attorneys as requested.  Works collaboratively with the in-house attorneys, legal assistants and outside counsel.Helps to strengthen and improve support processes within the Legal Department in the most cost-effective way.Monitors and keeps updated on new developments in applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
