Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the bustling city of Memphis, Tennessee, for an HR Operations Specialist I. This role operates within the Human Resources industry, with a focus on managing and coordinating human resource activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources. Key responsibilities include: Providing advice to managers and employees regarding state and federal employment regulations, compensation policies, and personnel procedures. Evaluating job positions to determine classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary. Preparing occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales. Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of personnel records and handbooks. Preparing reports to summarize job analysis, evaluation, and compensation analysis information. Utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel for various tasks. Ensuring compliance with legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices. Balancing customer service responsibilities with HR administration duties. Familiarity with handling phone calls and using a ticketing system. Demonstrating a thorough understanding of benefit and pay-scale systems. Utilizing Workday for HR-related tasks and operations. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Demonstrable experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration Proficiency in using internet tools and technologies Exceptional customer service skills Strong planning and organizational skills Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and regulations Ability to use 'About Time' software Excellent phone presence and interpersonal skills Knowledge in handling benefit functions Familiarity with hiring processes Understanding of HR practices and regulatory compliance Ability to prepare reports Experience in using a ticketing system Understanding of salary structures Experience with 'Workday' software Excellent written communication skills Experience with 'Scale Out' and 'Go' software Familiarity with phone systems Capability to handle financial notes.
