Description Our client is seeking an experienced National Distribution Manager to join their team in Memphis, Tennessee. This position plays a crucial role in the distribution industry, where you will be responsible for the overall management of distribution and operations. This role requires coordination with various teams and departments, and enforces a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in our distribution center.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the overall distribution and operations. Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols across all warehouses. Creation and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), reporting results to senior management monthly. Oversee the onboarding of Outbound Freight Vendors and approve freight invoices. Establish and ensure adherence to all Outbound Logistics procedures. Provide operational, financial, and resource support to various projects. Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to ensure smooth operation of all processes. Oversee the design, improvements, and contracts for facilities. Act as a coach and mentor for staff, providing guidance and support when needed. Assist Warehouse Managers in recruiting and selecting new employees and ensuring proper on-boarding for new hires. Work with planners on inventory control and flow.Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in a distribution management role Proven experience managing multiple direct reports across multiple locations Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Excellent customer service skills Experience in KPI Reporting Strong understanding of logistics and distribution centers Proven expertise in distribution management and distribution systems Familiarity with Logistics & Distribution, Warehouse Distribution Ability to manage and oversee budgets Experience with Navision or SAP software Ability to implement and manage distribution strategies Strong leadership skills, able to manage and motivate a team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure Proven track record in improving distribution processes and efficiency Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred National and International Travel Required Bilingual (Spanish) is a plusRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
