Description As a PC Technician at Robert Half, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our end-user computer systems for clients. You will provide hands-on support, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and assist with equipment setup and maintenance. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, a customer-centric approach, and a passion for delivering exceptional IT support.Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-person and remote technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Install, configure, and update operating systems and software applications.

Set up and maintain user accounts, profiles, and access permissions.

Perform hardware upgrades and repairs, including memory, hard drives, and peripherals.

Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

Assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.

Educate end-users on basic troubleshooting techniques and best practices to enhance their IT literacy.

Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions provided, and support requests.

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and knowledge base articles.

Stay current with industry trends and technologies to enhance service quality.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.

X+ years of experience in a PC Technician or similar technical support role.

Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues on desktops and laptops.

Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.

Familiarity with basic network concepts and troubleshooting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Customer-focused attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality technical support.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

A+ certification or equivalent is advantageous.

Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems is a plus.

Basic understanding of scripting or automation tools is desirable.
