Asphalt Crew Members & Equipment Operators
Location: Lebanon, TN area
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $18–$36 per hour (based on position & experience)
Hours: 8–10 hours per day (based on job-site needs) Typical window: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking reliable, skilled professionals with asphalt paving experience (at least 1–2 years in any capacity) to join our crew. Temp-to-perm positions with steady local work, and weekly pay.
Open Positions:
Asphalt Striper - You’ll be responsible for striping newly paved surfaces: applying paint or thermoplastic line markings on parking lots, roadways or curbs. Requires precision, knowledge of layout tools, and ability to work with crew to set up striping patterns.
Curb & Gutter Machine Operator - You’ll run the curb & gutter machine to form concrete or asphalt curbs and gutters alongside paving jobs. Requires experience operating machine, understanding of grade and elevation, and coordination with paving crew.
Motor Grader Operator - You’ll operate a motor grader to smooth and level base material or cut and shape pavement areas ahead of or after asphalt placement. Requires experience controlling large equipment, reading grades, and working accurately in construction zones.
Sealcoat Applicator - You’ll apply sealcoat treatments on asphalt surfaces, prepping the surface, applying materials, finishing and ensuring proper curing. Requires knowledge of sealcoat processes, equipment handling, and attention to surface condition and weather.
Roller Operator - You’ll operate the asphalt roller to compact hot mix asphalt properly, ensuring smooth and durable surfaces. Requires experience with asphalt compaction equipment, understanding of density and seams, and working alongside pavers.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of asphalt paving or related experience (in any of the capacities listed).
Proficiency with the tools and equipment relevant to your position.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions.
Physical stamina: standing, crouching, twisting upper body, lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Must have reliable transportation to job site.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Drug screening required.
Job Requires proper use of PPE: Steel-toe work boots, Safety vest, Hard hat, Safety glasses, Gloves
