WEEKLY PAY! TEMP-TO-PERM!
PAY: $23-$32/hour (based upon experience)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays 5 days per week
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday- Friday; 7:00 am-3:30 pm

Screed Operator Job Description:
The Screed Operator is responsible for controlling the screed on an asphalt paving machine to distribute, level, and smooth hot mix asphalt to the proper depth and finish. This role is essential to achieving high-quality paving results that meet grade, slope, and thickness specifications. The screed operator works closely with the paving crew to ensure efficient, safe, and consistent paving operations.
Responsibilities for Screed Operator:
Operate and adjust the screed to control asphalt thickness, width, slope, and texture.
Monitor the flow of asphalt to ensure even distribution and proper compaction.
Coordinate with the paver operator, roller operators, and ground crew to maintain smooth, continuous paving operations.
Check and maintain grade and cross slope according to project specifications.
Inspect and maintain screed components, including augers, burners, tamper bars, and strike-off plates.
Perform pre- and post-operation equipment checks and report any maintenance needs or malfunctions
Qualifications for Screed Operator:
At least 2 years of experience operating a screed machine required.
Understanding of asphalt paving principles, grades, and surface finish requirements.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to interpret grade stakes, project plans, and slope readings.
Valid driver's license is required.
Must be able available to work weekends
Must be able to safely use PPE
Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves.
Drug and background screen required

Must have reliable transportation to the job site
