Sr. Accountant or Staff Accountant

Description We are in the banking industry, located in Allen, Texas, and we are currently in search of a Sr. Accountant or Staff Accountant. The role involves handling and maintaining our financial records and transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the established accounting standards and procedures.Responsibilities: Conduct account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Perform bank reconciliations, verifying and resolving any discrepancies or inaccuracies. Handle general ledger functions and prepare monthly journal entries. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial reports and statements. Execute month-end close procedures and postings. Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP systems for various accounting tasks. Ensure that all financial records are accurately recorded and stored. Act as a point of contact for financial inquiries and audits. Assist in developing and implementing new accounting systems and processes. Collaborate with the financial team to improve financial procedures. Requirements Demonstrable experience in the banking industry, specifically in an Accountant or Staff Accountant role. Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation. Experience in performing bank reconciliations. Knowledge and experience in managing general ledger and processing journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting. Experience in month-end close processes. Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. detail oriented certification such as CPA is preferred.
