Work ScheduleStandard (Mon-Fri)Environmental ConditionsOfficeJob DescriptionDUTIES:Work with product development team of scientists and engineers to design, modify, develop, implement and maintain software services and tools using latest browser, server side and database technologies.Maintain and Support, update and enhance software applications.Create, maintain and execute automated test frameworks and tools using best practices.Build and run continuous deployment technologies to enable efficient implementation of developed and enhanced software.Create and implement code documentation to support design, development and maintenance.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of Software Engineering, Software development, or related experience. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field of study plus 2 years of Software Engineering, Software development, or related experience as an equivalent alternative.Required knowledge or experience with:Designing and developing interactive scientific or e-commerce software solutions;Working with Java technologies including Core Java, Servlets, Web services, Tomcat server;Cloud infrastructure like AWS and containerized applications and technologies like Docker and Kubernetes;Linux systems and network administration;Working with an RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres), PL/SQL and Stored Procedures;Server-side technologies such as PHP, Perl, Ruby, and Python;Building technologies including Maven, NPM, Git, and Jenkins;Web application debugging and troubleshooting; andClient-server functionality, web browser technology, object oriented programming, functional programming and server side programming languages.Thermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
