Senior Accountant

Description The Senior Accountant is responsible for being a support to the broader Finance and Accounting team as it relates to internal and external financial reporting, monthly close entries, detailed transactional reconciliations, and other aspects of accounting operations such as daily bank transfers, bi-monthly premium cutoff processes, and customer reporting needs. The Senior Accountant will have extensive access to members of the Finance and Accounting team as well as the Controller and CFO, requiring excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Highly motivated self-starter who can accomplish and manage multiple priorities independently and simultaneously.

Ability to work as a team player with a committed, positive approach to completing tasks.

Strong organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.

Ability to use time management skills to consistently meet deadlines in various circumstances.

Exceptional communication skills, both in the verbal and written word, are necessary to communicate with employees, managers, and executives.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Outlook, Word, and Excel is preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong knowledge of NetSuite is a plus, working knowledge is preferred.

Education and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.

5 years of accounting experience is preferred.

Prior audit experience is highly preferred.

CPA certification/designation is highly preferred.
