Description We are searching for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Real Estate & Property team based in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in handling accounts payable and receivable, producing accounting reports, and assisting with tax audits and returns. You will also play a key role in reviewing and modifying accounting systems and procedures, and supporting the month-end and year-end close process.Responsibilities: Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to maintain accurate fiscal records Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to internal stakeholders Analyze financial information and summarize the financial status of the company Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and reduce spending Review, recommend and implement modifications to accounting systems and procedures Assist with tax audits and tax returns to ensure compliance with financial regulations Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established standards Support the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Liaise with the Financial manager and Accounting manager to improve financial procedures and ensure best practices are followed. Requirements Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Proficiency in maintaining and managing General Ledger Knowledge of preparing and processing Journal Entries Experience in executing Month End Close Familiarity with financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong understanding of real estate and property industry Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines in the accounting field Prior experience in a similar role in the Real Estate & Property industry will be preferred.
