About The JobThe Red Hat Public Sector Technical Account Management team is looking for an enterprise-level engineer with a background in Ansible Automation Platform and Windows Infrastructure engineering to join us remotely as Technical Account Manager. In this role, you will focus on automating Windows infrastructure and requires a deep understanding of automation tools, Windows environments, and migration strategies. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between our clients and internal teams, driving successful adoption of Ansible while ensuring smooth transitions from legacy automation systems.What You Will Do Serve as the primary customer advocate within Red Hat, facilitating communication and collaboration across teams Deliver Red Hat portfolio roadmap updates and assist customers with product upgrades and implementation Rapidly learn and stay current with new technologies, including container orchestration, registries, build strategies, microservices, and automation environments Support customers implementing automated and containerized OpenShift cloud application platform solutions Specialize in Ansible Automation Platform, providing expertise on its implementation and use Perform technical reviews to proactively identify and prevent issues, sharing knowledge across teams Gain a comprehensive understanding of the customer's technical infrastructures, environments, hardware, and product usage Investigate and respond to support requests via various channels, including online, phone, video call, chat, etc. Provide strategic advice and guidance on current and future Red Hat products and solutions Manage customer cases, maintaining clear and concise documentation Collaborate with engineering, R&D, product management, and technical support teams Create and maintain technical documentation for issue resolution and knowledge sharing Manage and grow customer relationships through attentive, relationship-based support Visit customer sites as needed and ensure exceptional service experienceWhat You Will Bring Prior customer experience in a technical support, software development or engineering, or quality assurance organization Experience with Ansible Automation Platform and similar automation technologies, including Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, etc; broad knowledge of automation practices and principles Experience with configuration management, application deployment, and infrastructure orchestration technologies Extensive experience with Windows and Windows Server; including deployment, management, maintenance, and technical support for enterprise Windows servers; experience with Windows-Linux/Unix interoperability, integration, and migration a plus Ability to manage and grow existing customer relationships by delivering proactive, relationship-based support Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Ability to convey complex information to customers clearly and concisely Ability to manage multiple issues and projects Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline (computer science or engineering is an advantage)The following are beneficial but not required: Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud solutions, including Red Hat's OpenShift Container Platform Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes Experience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative Experience working in DevOps environments Software engineering background; experience with RPM-based Linux technologies Experience deploying applications in cloud environments Experience developing containerized applications Familiarity with source code management tools like Git or SVN Prior experience in a technical leadership or mentorship role#LI-REMOTE #LI-AL2The salary range for this position is $90,480.00 - $144,660.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay TransparencyRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
