About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing medium-sized trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. This position plays a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on medium-duty trucks, trailers, and various construction equipment
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake system issues
Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
Identify needed parts and assist with ordering/parts management
Respond to equipment breakdowns as needed (shop-based and occasional field service)
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of fleet mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic experience
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must be able to meet physical requirements (lifting, bending, working outdoors, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
Speak Spanish
CDL or willingness to obtain one
ASE certifications
Welding or fabrication experience
Mobile service/field repair experience
