Job Posting End Date02-04-2025Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end dateJob SummaryTOPS SCADA Provide complex technical support and training for computer Energy Management (EMS) Systems or Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and other technical infrastructure used in Transmission Operations centers. Position requires a high degree of adaptability, and a focus on meeting customer needs and continuous improvement in the systems supported. Protection and Control SCADA Provides complex technical support to Protection and Control Engineering (PCE) SCADA Standards and Production activities related to AEP Transmission. Assist in areas of standards development, scoping, RTU setting creation, and implementation troubleshooting. A high ability to organize and coordinate customer needs will be required.Job DescriptionThis position can be filled in either New Albany, OH; Corpus Christi, TX, or Roanoke, VA.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

TOPS SCADA Provide support/guidance/leadership to other Analysts on problem resolution. Train other Analysts in support activities.

Represent EMS/SCADA Support group, with limited supervision, on task forces, working groups, and special projects. 3Maintain reliable operations and make recommendations to improve the quality and reliability of the EMS and SCADA systems, data and related services.

Maintain real-time data interfaces Develop/improve/implement EMS and SCADA tools and software Stay abreast of current technologies and keep EMS and SCADA tools up-to-date with current technologies Build and maintain custom EMS and SCADA on-line displays Model, check-out and commission Remote Terminal Units Build and maintain EMS and SCADA models

Define and implement internal EMS and SCADA standards Perform more complex troubleshooting and problem resolution in all areas of knowledge Provide after-hours support for the EMS/SCADA systems as needed.

Protection and Control SCADA Able to scope large SCADA projects with limited supervision and able to provide all feedback needed on scoping questions to PCE / Telecom Support more experienced personnel in the development of new tools and processes that will enhance deliverable's quality and timeliness.

Able to complete any RPA with no supervision or guidance. Able to complete any RTU configuration with no supervision or guidance.

Has a solid understanding of both new and legacy communication technology. Able to support stakeholders with complex SCADA related issues with limited guidance. Able to complete any 2411 settings with no supervision or guidance.

Implements standards in appropriate measures with no guidance. Representing PCE SCADA on compliance matters and supporting SCADA updates due to a compliance requirement. Lead multiple SCADA training topic initiatives and create a timeline for the subject matter.

Lead focus groups and forum topics related to or including SCADA. Beginning to expand knowledge of new technology and old technology and how they are related. Able to identify all Protection and Control applications with no guidance and the primary function of each application with limited guidance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education requirements are listed below:

Associates Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or

related Technical field or higher from an accredited college/university or

high school diploma and two years related military or electric utility technical experience.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

Six (6) years EMS/SCADA experience with Associates Degree or

eight (8) years of experience with a high school diploma.Individuals with a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of EMS/SCADA experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.

In addition to the EMS/SCADA experience noted above, detailed knowledge is required in three other pertinent areas below:

Identify all equipment in the substation with no guidance and develops primary function of this equipment.Participates in industry SCADA research and provides AEP improvement suggestions.
