Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in the Utilities/Infrastructure industry, based in Dallas, Texas. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing our network security infrastructure, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our systems.Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and manage Aruba switches and related network infrastructure.

Deploy and manage network solutions using Aruba Central for centralized management and monitoring.

Support, troubleshoot and configure Fortinet Firewalls

Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.

Monitor network performance and optimize configurations to ensure efficient operation.

Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to develop and implement network solutions that support business goals.

Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior network staff.

Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and protocols.

Stay current with the latest network technologies, trends, and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Aruba switching and Aruba Central.

Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) or Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) certification is highly desirable.

In-depth knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and SNMP.

Strong experience with Aruba switches (e.g., Aruba CX Series) and Aruba Central for network management.

Familiarity with Fortinet products and solutions.

Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
