Job Title: Packaging Line Operator (bilingual in English/Spanish)
Location: Hutchins
Schedule: There are two shifts to choose from (We need one person on each shift).
1st shift: Monday – Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Weekends as needed.
2nd shift: Monday – Friday 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Weekends as needed.
Please note: We are looking for someone who has maching operating experience or has experience working with HMI panels.
Pay Rate:$15/hr Get Paid Weekly!
Requirements:
- Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines, including wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Problem-solving ability and adaptability to various situations.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, moderately-paced environment with varying temperatures.
- Physical capabilities for tasks involving lifting (up to 100 lbs.), walking, and stooping.
- Endurance for extended periods of standing and work outside normal hours.
- Tolerance for noise levels up to 85 decibels during 8-hour shifts (per OSHA limits).
- Visual acuity, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to assigned work schedule and follow supervisor instructions.
- Manage packaging machine startup and shutdown tasks at shift commencement and conclusion.
- Ensure packaging machine is in optimal condition; report issues to supervisor.
- Stock and organize products for machine operation, replenishing packaging supplies.
- Perform integrity and quality checks on each packaging order.
- Monitor accurate product specifications throughout the shift.
- Safely handle and dispose of waste generated by packaging machinery.
- Isolate damaged products as per designated procedures.
- Follow company safety and quality guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including clean floors.
- Reset machines after malfunctions or repeated cycles.
- Sort, label, grade, and inspect packaged products according to quality procedures.
- Stack packaged items using forklifts in storage areas or on delivery pallets.
- Complete daily documentation for customer orders, shift activity, and product handling.
