Production TechnicianWe are looking for a Production Technician to join our Utilities team in Freeport, TX.Come create chemistry with us!The Production Technician is responsible for conducting daily activities related to plant operations such as: Operating compressors, pumps, reactors, heat exchangers, steam boilers, valves, tanks, pressure vessels, instrument control systems, forklifts, hoists, flare systems, scales, lab testing equipment, computers, and other associated manufacturing equipment.As a Production Technician, you create chemisty by Handling plant operations including: control flows, pressures, reactions, temperatures, makeup of solutions from batch sheets and formula cards, transfer of solutions/batches, loading/unloading chemicals to and from tanks, trucks, and rail cars. Operating and managing (troubleshooting) their respective areas and making safe, prompt, and effective decisions. Handling various hazardous chemicals as well as identifying and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Cross-training in additional production areas and supporting other members of the team in achieving a task or solving a problem. Demonstrating sound judgment by adhering to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements while planning and executing a job. Supporting and continually applying all Quality Improvement, Safety, Ecology, and Legal Compliance policies and procedures. Performing all necessary production/testing to ensure that product meets product specifications and tolerances for in-process product and release specifications for shipment of the product.If you Have a Highschool diploma or GED. Possess 3 years of applicable military experience (with Honorable Discharge) – OR 3 years of chemical plant manufacturing experience - OR an Associate’s degree in a Chemical Technology Program. Are eligible to obtain TWIC if needed in the future.Note: Applicable military experience would be technical experience relating to maintenance or troubleshooting; or experience requiring the buildup / teardown of facilities, equipment or weapon systems.
