Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Houston, Texas. As an integral part of our team, you'll be tasked with managing high volume invoicing, maintaining full cycle Accounts Payable, and utilizing various accounting software systems. Responsibilities: Manage a high volume of invoices daily, ensuring timely and accurate processing Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools to streamline Accounts Payable (AP) tasks Oversee full cycle AP, from invoice receipt to payment processing Maintain and update account coding for all transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards Utilize the Automated Clearing House (ACH) for electronic transactions, when necessary Perform routine accounting functions, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial reports Ensure detail-oriented operations by maintaining accurate records and identifying any discrepancies Leverage tenure and expertise to enhance team performance and improve overall financial operations. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations Skilled in Account Coding for accurate financial recording Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for efficient data management Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for integrated business process management Familiarity with Accounting Functions for comprehensive financial management Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) for electronic funds transfer Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial records Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines Problem-solving skills to handle any issues that arise in the accounts payable process Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures or job duties Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the field of accounting.
