Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Care Coordinator in the healthcare industry based in Houston, Texas. This role involves utilizing various technologies such as Allscripts, Banner Ads, Cerner Technologies, CRM, and Dentrix Dental Software. Working in our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care coordination, ensuring efficient and high-quality service.Responsibilities: Utilize Allscripts, Banner Ads, Cerner Technologies, CRM, and Dentrix Dental Software to manage patient data. Respond to inbound calls promptly and professionally, providing necessary information and assistance. Coordinate the authorization process for patient care, ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete and accurate. Oversee benefit functions, ensuring patients receive the correct information regarding their healthcare benefits. Manage billing functions, ensuring all patient billing information is accurate and up to date. Maintain and update patient charts and graphs, ensuring accurate tracking of patient health information. Liaise with other healthcare professionals as necessary to coordinate patient care. Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by patients or their families regarding care coordination. Continually improve our patient care processes by suggesting and implementing improvements where necessary. Requirements Proficiency in using Allscripts, Banner Ads, Cerner Technologies, CRM, and Dentrix Dental Software. Experience in answering inbound calls professionally and efficiently. Ability to handle authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions. Familiarity with creating and interpreting charts and graphs. Demonstrated ability to coordinate patient care effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance to HIPAA guidelines. High level of customer service skills. Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
