As a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring the safety and longevity of our fleet. Join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional services in the industry.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance checks on company-owned and/or leased vehicles and equipmentRepair, replace, clean, and lubricate vehicle/equipment parts as necessaryExamine and repair hydraulic components for fluid leaks, ruptured hoses, or worn gasketsTravel to job sites to make repairs to heavy equipment as necessaryUse diagnostic devices to identify components in need of adjustment or repairRebuild or replace engines, repair hydraulic fluid pumps, and correct electrical problems as neededWork in various environments, including hot and cold temperaturesComplete repair orders and use e-log/log bookThis position may require extended travel periods.QualificationsMinimum of five (5) years job-related experienceKnowledge of small engine equipment, such as generators and compressors (preferred)Experience with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and brake systemsKnowledge of heavy equipment parts and performance requirements, including hydraulicsAdvanced education or training in electronic computerized diagnostic systems and equipment (preferred)Mechanical aptitude and ability to prioritize tasksAbility to read, interpret, and comprehend service manualsProficient in using hand and power tools, welding and flame cutting equipmentValid driver's license and safe driving habitsCompensationCompetitive salary based on experience.BenefitsPaid vacation and holidays401K with company matchingFlexible spending programHealth and dental insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield Apply now in 2 minutes!
