Cloud Engineer

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to join our team in the financial services industry located in McAllen, Texas. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions, collaborating with various teams, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring robust security measures. This role also involves automating infrastructure provisioning and management, monitoring cloud environments for potential issues, and staying abreast of the latest cloud technologies.Responsibilities: Design and implement cloud-based solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Collaborate with development and operations teams to deploy and maintain cloud-native applications Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive banking data Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools Monitor cloud environments to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices Ensure the smooth operation of customer credit applications by processing them accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Work with a variety of AWS technologies such as Amazon EC2, Ansible, Atlassian Jira, Auto Scaling, and others. Requirements Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field. Proficiency in Amazon EC2 is required. Experience with Ansible is necessary. Familiarity with Atlassian Jira is mandatory. Knowledge of Auto Scaling is needed. Proficient in using AWS Technologies. Must have experience in API Development. Familiarity with Automation processes is essential. Must have knowledge of Backup Technologies. Experience in Cluster Analysis is required. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferable. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are desired. Ability to work in a team and independently. Should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Must have strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to adapt to changing business needs and requirements. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of financial services industry is preferable.
