Technical Leads are expected to have a sound understanding of application development theory, concepts, and best practices and to mentor and lead teams to provide the most ideal solution to the challenges presented. Applications are typically developed collaboratively within a team with most teams responsible for the simultaneous support of several applications. Development teams within the Business Applications organization apply the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver solutions. Communication and presentation skills become a necessity in this space as ideas must be regularly shared between both team members and business stakeholders (that may have limited understanding of technical concepts). Technical Leads are expected to develop a thorough understanding of the underlying process that a business application might support and to be able to communicate this understanding with application stakeholders, owners, and users.What you will do

Partner with stakeholders, customers, product owners, and solution architects to understand, capture, and translate complex business problems into elegant and durable technical solutions.

Technically lead, mentor, coach, and contribute to an application development team designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining technical solutions.

Collaborate with application developers to create and manage prioritized application technical roadmaps.

Partner with product ownership and stakeholders to manage and prioritize an application portfolio backlog of new features, existing application enhancements, and infrastructural interoperability requirements.

Provide technical expertise and leadership across multiple application development teams as needed in addressing significant application challenges and driving them to resolution.

Communicate and present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 7 years of experience.

Front-end development experience with technologies such as: HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, Angular, AngularJS, Typescript, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX.

Back-end development experience with technologies such as: Java, RESTful web services, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Junit.

Demonstrated technical leadership experience in a scrum agile development environment.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

Extensive understanding of full stack web application development.

Demonstrated proficiency in analysis and problem-solving.

Effective presentation skills with an ability to influence leadership and stakeholders.

Influencing and conflict resolution skills in a dynamic team environment.

Design and query experience with Oracle, MariaDB (MySQL), and/or SQL Server.

Experience with agile software development (and CI/CD practices).

Experience with remediating cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

Extensive knowledge of JEE design patterns.

Extensive knowledge of XML, JSON, and YAML.

Demonstrated technical leadership experience in a scrum agile development environment.

Experience with Microsoft Power BI

Experience with Python

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
