Description We are inviting applications for the role of Membership Services Representative based in San Antonio, Texas. This role primarily involves providing information, processing payments, and maintaining member data for our organization. The ideal candidate will be able to handle confidential information and will be dedicated to providing superior customer service to our diverse member base. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Efficiently process and balance membership dues payments, issue refunds when necessary, and maintain organized records. Manage our membership database by entering new members, applying tracking codes, auditing entered data, and making necessary corrections. Process chapter fundraiser packets, balance applications against checks and charge amounts, and file applications. Manage incoming mail by opening, sorting, and categorizing correspondence. Provide membership and chapter information to members, chapters, employees, and volunteers via telephone, email, and mail. Support other departments by answering any membership related queries. Manage Convention registrations and process payments via credit card, cash, or check. Verify registration orders with callers prior to completion of call and upsell convention packages during registration entry process. Travel and provide support to our members at the Annual Convention. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, database, and graphic presentation software programs. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Experience in a call center customer service role Ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls Familiarity with customer service software Strong data entry and order entry skills Ability to schedule appointments efficiently Excellent written communication skills for email correspondence Proven track record of delivering superior customer service Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask effectively Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures or job tasks.
