About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer well versed in API technology to join our Chief Development OfficeIn this role, you will:
Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of hands-on experience with API management and integration products like APIGEE, API Connect, Mulesoft, Kong, 3Scale
3+ years of experience in lead architect role and have experience is large scale integration
3+ years of experience in the API cloud architectural and implementation using Azure or Google
2+ years of hands-on experience in development and solutioning using IBM DataPower and APIGEE
2+ years of experience in message systems like IBM MQ and Kafka and integration experience using DataPower
2+ years of Knowledge on network components like Load balancers, Firewalls and Proxies
Desired Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge on API security and Cryptography with implementation experience
Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skill for various audience
Experience working in finance domain
Experience in handling API production migration
Job Expectations:
API Architecture and solutioning for the enterprise
Lead the new initiatives and migration of the DataPower services to APIGEE or another approved platform.
Lead automaton and CI/CD effort
Working with teams across various regions and zones with availability and flexibility
Mentoring and guiding the team for success
Handle the escalations and production support as needed
This position has an in-office expectation, you are expected to work in a hybrid capacity
