Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with construction accounting experience to join our team based in Texas. This role is within the industry and encompasses a range of responsibilities, including the processing of customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process over 200 customer credit applications per month Maintain and manage accounts payable, ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner Coordinate with the controller to manage lien waivers Utilize the CMIC system and basic Excel for various accounting functions Monitor and ensure project payments roll forward each month Code invoices using your knowledge of account coding Handle day-to-day invoices and communicate effectively with the team Utilize knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning in daily tasks Oversee and maintain two accounts payable emails Ensure customer inquiries are resolved promptly and accurately.Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding, with the ability to accurately classify financial transactions. Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems, ensuring effective and efficient financial management. Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, enabling streamlined business process management. Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis. Solid knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing. Capability in Coding Invoices, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to the correct accounts.
