We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a highly-skilled, compassionate, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician you will help to provide exceptional patient care in our fast-paced emergency room. In this role you will be supporting the nursing staff as they care for individuals with needs ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients. We consider ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

You will have the ability to quickly and skillfully inform the RN staff of a patient’s condition and the symptoms they are presenting to help them make an informed initial assessment.

You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure

You will be a champion of surveillance, prevention and control of Infection: Follows established policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by the use of personal protective measures.

You will obtain and record hourly vitals as directed by the nursing staff while providing education to the family

You will demonstrate the importance of all functions of your role, including but not limited to; obtaining information related to history and known allergies, assisting with sterile procedures, applying dressings, restocking supplies and linen as needed and cleaning rooms and equipment after each patient.

What qualifications you will need:

Current certification within the State of Utah as an Emergency Medical Technician, LPN/LVN, National Registry of EMT or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting is required

One year working as an AEMT preferred

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days.
