Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking an Area Sales Manager - Bussmann. This is a hybrid-based position and candidates for this role must reside within 50 miles of the following locations to be considered for this position: City of Industry, CA; Chandler, AZ; Littleton, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; Wilsonville, OR or Tukwila, WA. Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants who live outside these locations.What you’ll do:Position Overview:The Area Sales Manager role will be responsible for managing a customer base, sales resources, products and channel alignment to achieve planned results for the region. This position is responsible for the attainment of sales objectives for the Bussmann division in the assigned geographic territory. The objectives are achieved by the promotion and development of existing and expanded products and markets. This individual will provide leadership and development to a sales team consisting of sales professionals, sales reps selling primarily through electrical distributors. The team will be responsible for the sales of division products to original equipment manufacturers, contractors and through distributors to various end customers. Grow sales in an approximately $25-30M territory

Implement promotional programs with the following users and buying influences: distributors, original equipment manufacturers, contractors, industrial MRO users and commercial users

Develop and recommend sales plans, forecasts and objectives for assigned accounts in support of long and short-term sales objectives

Collect and supply information to enable management to establish sales goals and objectives

Assist buying accounts in a wide variety of customer service activities to ensure continuing satisfaction with the division and its products

Manage sales team of four to five (4-5) direct reports, and four (4) sales agents along with a handful of direct accounts in the northeast market

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Minimum seven (7) years electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience

Possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business

Manager of people experience

10+ years of electrical industry sales experience

Previous experience managing channel partners

Skills:Position Criteria:

Possess excellent communication skills

Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Superior knowledge of sales techniques, customers, customer relations and employee development

Strong knowledge of managing products, product applications and distribution channels

Significant sales presence such as that the candidate can clearly command in difficult sales situations

Ability to travel up to 25%

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive.
