Brown Consulting Engineers is seeking a qualified full-time Civil Engineer to join our St. George, Utah office. Brown Consulting Engineers is a full-service engineering and land surveying firm that operates throughout Utah, Nevada, and Arizona.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the fast-growing St. George area. Project disciplines include water, wastewater, storm drain, land development, transportation, and construction management. Candidates should have a desire to grow their professional career and maintain a team environment.
Primary Duties:
Preparing design drawings and calculations for civil engineering projects.
-Projects include the following: Land Development, Transportation, Water Resources Engineering, Structural Design, Storm Drain Analysis and Design, and Preparing Cost Estimates.
Prepare site plan, utility plan, and grading plan drawings for construction.
Plans include the following:
-Prepares studies and written reports for clients and city officials.
-Manage construction projects and prepare survey points for survey crews.
-Support, lead, and delegate work to project teams.
Responsible for project from start to finish. This includes talking with clients, answering questions, handling phone calls and emails, submitting work and flowing up on it.
Requirements and Qualifications:
2 + years of experience in civil engineering and surveying projects.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
2 + years’ Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to become licensed as a Professional Engineer.
Flexibility to adapt to a variety of projects.
