Position Details Advertising/Posting Title Teen and Leadership Program Coordinator Diversity Statement The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. Posting Summary Serve as the lead on a portfolio of programs that supports youth learning and development of critical work and life skills. Oversee and provide leadership, program development, coordination, and teaching for both county programs as well as statewide and national leadership and teen focused programming through UVM Extension 4-H Youth Development. This includes identifying, training, supervising, and collaborating with volunteers and staff, analysis of enrollment and population demographics, strategic thinking, fundraising, promoting and helping to expand 4-H efforts, through innovative and collaborative youth programs and partnerships. This is done with minimal supervision, individually and in collaboration with a statewide team of 4-H educators and one program manager.Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Master’s degree and four years’ related experience with focus in youth programming required, with emphasis on teen and leadership programming desired. Competency in youth, volunteer and program development. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate, teach and evaluate educational programs. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with youth and adult volunteers, in a team environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate clear goals. Computer and electronic communication proficiency. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a collaborative environment .
