Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team in Rutland, Vermont. This role involves the management of financial reporting and analysis, internal and external audits, and regulatory reports. The position also includes overseeing team members and facilitating software implementations. Responsibilities: Prepare and file quarterly regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner Manage both internal and external audits, ensuring all financial statements and reports are in order Oversee the financial reporting and analysis process, providing critical financial and operational information to the team Lead and manage a team of 4-7 employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment Facilitate software implementations and multiple mergers, aligning with the company's growth and development strategies Reduce the number of days for month-end close process and financial reporting package preparation Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Excel Formulas, MS Excel, Microsoft Excel, and Accounts Receivable (AR) for daily tasks and reporting Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Strong knowledge and experience with Excel Formulas Expertise in MS Excel and Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Excellent communication skills for clear and concise reporting Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to strategize and solve problems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making High proficiency in public speaking and presenting financial data.
