Accounting Specialist

Description We are searching for an Accounting Specialist in Williston, Vermont. This role is in the accounting industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks involving customer invoices, vendor files, financial reports, and accounting software systems.Responsibilities: Handle the accurate and efficient processing of customer invoices. Actively participate in the execution of payment runs and the reconciliation of vendor statements. Maintain and manage vendor files and resolve any payment issues that may arise. Provide assistance during month-end closing activities. Monitor accounts receivable and conduct follow-ups on overdue accounts. Resolve any billing discrepancies and process adjustments as necessary. Assist in the collection efforts to ensure timely payment. Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and audits. Participate in initiatives aimed at improving accounting processes. Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) will be beneficial Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary Demonstrated ability in handling Accounting Functions is necessary Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must Proficiency in Billing Functions is required Experience with Check Processing is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
