Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be a key player in our accounting operations, working alongside a team of finance and accounting professionals. You will provide crucial support to our subsidiary and act as a liaison to our corporate accounting office. This position can work remotely in Eastern Time Zone. Responsibilities: Provide accounting support to the entity and serve as an integral liaison to the corporate accounting office. Manage and process customer billings, including the provision of supporting documentation and electronic submissions. Oversee document and electronic files management, ensuring organized and efficient handling of data. Handle daily Adobe files, separating large files by resource for billing supporting documentation. Utilize your proficiency with AccountMate in performing accounting tasks. Understand and comply with CAS/FAR related regulations, statutes, and filing requirements. Employ your strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of work. Utilize your expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word in performing daily tasks. Serve as a U.S. Citizen, contributing to the diverse team dynamics.Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role. Demonstrated proficiency in use of AccountMate software. Possess strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records. Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex accounting tasks. Must be authorized to work in the country.
