Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the Oil & Gas industry at our Ashland, Virginia location. The role is for a Document Controller whose main task will be to establish an efficient document management system for our legal team. The role will require the individual to work on their feet, crouch, and kneel as they organize, shred, and copy documents.Responsibilities: Implement and manage a document control system to organize a backlog of unstructured documents. Collaborate with the legal team to determine which documents are necessary and which can be discarded. Conduct regular document audits to ensure all papers are correctly filed and easily accessible. Handle shredding of unnecessary documents in accordance with company and legal guidelines. Copy and distribute documents as needed to relevant team members. Utilize Adobe Acrobat, Concordance, and Microsoft Office Suite to manage electronic documents. Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive documents. Implement a document tracking system for easy retrieval of information. Train other team members on the new document management system. Regularly review and update the document management system as needed. Requirements Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry is essential Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Document Control Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Concordance is required Strong familiarity with Management Systems Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Experience with 'About Time' software is advantageous Must understand and uphold the principles of confidentiality Experience in the Construction sector is beneficial Knowledge of Consumer Electronics is a plus Excellent correspondence skills are necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
