Bookkeeper Payroll Specialist

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper Payroll Specialist in Bon Air, Virginia. The role involves crucial functions within the payroll sector, requiring the individual to utilize their skills to maintain precise financial records.Responsibilities: Manage and process payroll information accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure all payroll transactions are recorded with precision in the accounting system. Handle inquiries related to payroll information and discrepancies. Maintain updated payroll records including deductions, leaves, and new hires. Regularly review customer accounts and take necessary actions. Provide timely and accurate customer service regarding payroll queries. Ensure adherence to payroll-related policies and regulations. Work closely with other teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Continuously monitor changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and industry trends. Support the preparation of relevant payroll reports for management as required. Requirements Proficiency in payroll management and related software Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Strong communication and interpersonal skills Capacity to work independently and as part of a team Experience in handling financial data and records Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Knowledge of relevant federal and state payroll regulations and requirements Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
