Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures

A week in the life of a Security Administrator:

Provide guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, physical security to ensure compliance with standards.

Provide administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction and disposition of classified material.

May act as Top-Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.

Administer and maintain physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification and safeguard of company facilities, equipment, materials and employee property.

Develop and conduct security briefings and security education programs.

Provide oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information.

Prepare, send, and receive visitor certifications.

Investigate losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.

Manage the continuing eligibility program for employees.

Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures.

Assist the FSO with DCSA Assessments.

Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.

Will act as the backup to the corporate FSO, as required.

Job Requirements

At least 6-8 years relevant experience

Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

Knowledge of DOD, DOE or other industrial security programs.

HS diploma or GED

Experience with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, and theories.

Knowledge of DOD, DOE, or other industrial security programs.

Familiarity with the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's), and other national security standards.

Experience utilizing DISS, e-QIP, e-FCL, ISFD, SWFT, and other security databases such as Access Commander and/or SIMS.

Familiarity with access control systems such as Onguard or similar systems.

Must complete, or have completed, required FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum.

The Contractor Special Security Officer will be adaptable and fast-moving, and will provide oversight of day-to-day security operations for Collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Program Activities, to include coordination of program security disciplines with Program Management, Primes, Subcontractors, and Government Customers

Be responsible for supporting and administering security aspects for Department of Defense and civilian agency customers to include the lifecycle of security clearances

Serve as primary support and liaison between the Customer and Business for security matters.

Administer security programs and procedures for classified, CUI, or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment

Be familiar with classification management process and classification guides associated with DoD/Intelligence information
