Responsibilities will include working alongside other professionals to ensure deadlines are met, liaising with external stakeholders, attending customer meetings, using various software to produce detailed designs, ensuring all projects remain within budgetary and time constraints, and compiling reports for management and customers.Responsibilities:

Provide research, design, analysis, test, and technical advisement to mechanical and electromechanical product developments.

Resource coordination and decision contributions to provide value added engineering, leadership, and product support.

Analyze, modify, or replace various critical components/subsystems that have passed functional service life.

Perform system-component level root cause analysis, feasibility, and reliability studies.

Lead various internal/external technical reviews and meetings presenting alternative feasible design options and strategies to meet current industry requirements/standards, further enhancing the vault’s mechanical and electrical sub-systems performance and reliability.

Interpret, modify, or create 3D solid models, 2D technical drawings, engineering change orders, and manuals.

Customer interactions, presentations, briefs, technical reviews, and CCBs with Govt personnel

The Role:Senior level Mechanical Engineer involved with the design, development, and oversight of product development and production of mechanical systems and components for the MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS). Will lead complex projects from concept through to completion, ensuring that all engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements are met. This role may involve conducting advanced analyses, such as finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize designs for performance and efficiency. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
