This is a full-time remote position.HOW A CLOUD ARCHITECT TECHNICAL LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:● Designs and defines Cloud Solutions architecture for new or existing Cloud systems services.● Provides business strategy, solution development and technical guidance to develop business and market solutions that align with cloud service offerings from the cloud service provider.● Serve as technical advisor to large Contract, supporting customers and solving complex Cloud Infrastructure and technical challenges.● Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.● Provide highly technical implementation support in customer environments, including guidance on implementation feasibility of cross-product integrations.● Support technical accreditation requirementsWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:● CITIZENSHIP : Must be a US Citizen● CERTIFICATION : Google Cloud or other Cloud certifications (i.e. AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc)● EDUCATION : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, OR additional work experience in lieu of degree● YEAR'S EXPERIENCE:- 15 years of relevant experience overall- 5 years of experience in engineering or cloud.- 3 years of experience as an engineer or engineering manager.● TECHNICAL SKILLS :- Experience with scalable networking technologies (such as Load Balancers, Firewalls) and web standards (such as REST APIs, web security mechanisms).- Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes)- Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solution architectures.- Experience working with and managing external partners/customers.- Understanding of open source server software● SKILLS & ABILITIES: Experience with US Government Contracts● LOCATION: Remote (must reside within the CONUS)WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - DESIRED:● CERTIFICATION : Advanced Google Cloud Certifications (i.e. Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect)GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:● Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home● 401K with company match● Comprehensive health and wellness packages● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays#GDITcareers#OpportunityOwned#WeAreGDIT#transitioningmilitary#veteransThe likely salary range for this position is $217,267 - $293,949. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
