Design and develop statistical analyses (including predictive, inferential, supervise, non-supervised, ensemble and clustering).

Visualize the output of statistical models, and present and interpret the output for the corresponding client audience and group.

Perform initial ETL and cleaning as necessary in preparation for modeling.

Perform exploratory data analysis and model-fitting to reveal data features of interest to include machine learned and predictive modeling.

Develop conceptual design and models to address mission requirements.

Develop qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing datasets in various states; and perform analytic modeling, scripting, and/or programming.

Design and develop analytics and techniques for analysis; and analyze data using mathematical and statistical methods.

Create and maintain report specifications and process documentations as part of the required data deliverables.

Evaluate, document, and communicate research processes, analyses, and results to customers, peers, and leadership using the data science methodology framework to produce repeatable, explainable data science modeling.

Maintains accepted standards for code and data documentation and versioning.

Ensure all data management activities are conducted in accordance with high quality standards and compliant with DoD and DON regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience : Five (5) years of relevant experience in data mining, advanced analytical algorithms, programming, data science or software engineering.

Required Technical Skills : Experience with Python, R, and Databricks. Additional experience with any or all the following (Cognos BI, Power BI, Qlik, Excel, or other DON/Jupiter tools).

Required Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal (verbal, written, listening and non-verbal communication) skills. Ability to manage multiple project deadlines.

Preferred Skills : Ability to engage well with others and passionate about providing an exemplary customer experience. Ability to embrace change in a positive and enthusiastic manner.

Security Clearance Level: SECRET Clearance

Position is contingent upon DON Security receiving favorable results on background investigation of CLA prior to start of job. If results are not favorable, the candidate will be declined the job.

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match.
