Our work depends on Cyber Security Analyst Associate joining our team to monitor and maintain our client's systems ensuring system availability and performance.HOW A CYBER SECURITY ANALYST ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT● Monitor system performance and availability using system monitoring tools.● Perform initial triage of system alerts to determine their severity and impact.● Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner, diagnosing and resolving system issues.● Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and configuration changes.● Escalate incidents to higher-tier technicians or engineering teams as necessary.● Document incident details, actions taken, and lessons learned for future reference and analysis.● Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:● Active Interim Secret Security clearance with ability to obtain TS● Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 1 or Information Assurance Manager Level 1 or obtain and approved Incident Responder certification within 6 months of the date of hire● Technical Training, Certifications, or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.● 1 year (2+ preferred) technical experience● Department of State employee or contractor experience preferred but not required● User experience with system monitoring tools such Splunk and ScienceLogic.● User experience with Tenable Security Center and Symantec Endpoint Protection● Familiarity of Cisco Switches and Firewalls and VMWare Products● Working knowledge of various operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and RedHat Linux.● Strong understanding of network, compute, and storage concepts.● Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.● Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.● Dayshift work only● US Citizenship Required/TS Clearance RequiGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:● 401K with company match● Comprehensive health and wellness packages● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays#OpportunityOwned #GDITLifeThe likely salary range for this position is $76,690 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
