Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a role for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Service industry, located in Richmond, Virginia. This role entails processing customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.Responsibilities: Understand business transactions and operational processes such as reviewing financial reports to set priorities and manage deliveries Apply generally accepted accounting principles in daily operations Accurately enter and process accounts payable vouchers for payment and close purchase orders Electronically store invoices after scanning Post received checks to customer accounts and post lockbox receipts to customer accounts in the A/R System Respond to customer and vendor account inquiries via phone and e-mail Purchase goods and services from various vendors as requested Enter credit card details in their software program Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks in daily tasks.Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks software Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Ability to perform account reconciliation effectively Demonstrated skills in coding invoices Proven experience in data entry tasks Proficient in invoice processing procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity and dependability Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is desirable.
