We are on a hunt for an exceptional leader that will own the development of Claims Administration & Payment Integrity (CAPI) business enablement. As an Associate Vice President of Product, this leader won't just be leading a team, but also charting a course toward a future where we transform the Healthcare business, enabled by technology. This leader will be supporting the existing platforms across operational areas (provider connectivity, claim adjudication, claim finalization, payment integrity programs) for multiple lines of business. This is an opportunity to lead various teams challenged to re-architecture the enterprise core operations, that will adapt with a changing environment and enable or accelerate our member and customer strategic priorities for all of the products offered by Humana.This role will lead efforts to replace legacy COBOL systems with modern, open technology significantly reducing the complexity and cost of our systems. This system change will likely impact every area within Humana given the size and centrality of the platform.Scope:Responsibilities:

Bring extremely strong product management and technical skills to bear as we invest in technology solutions that positively impact our consumer experience.

Lead and guide teams through all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and to achieve specific cost and success outcomes.

Once products are launched, monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business feedback mechanisms to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation.

Adjusts and advances product portfolio over time to continue achieving product goals and outcomes as well as to drive innovation through anticipating customer needs and desired outcomes.

Provides strategic direction and leadership to multiple teams across the program to ensure solutions meet the needs of multiple businesses and associated customers and aligns with company's goal

Act as a strong advocate of Product team at executive level and provides strategic advice and guidance to executives across the enterprise to develop and drive product modernization strategy forward in partnership with segment and/or enterprise-wide functional strategies.

Play a critical role in influencing senior leadership on the future-state product strategy.

Work closely with key business partners (Operations leadership, Product Modernization office, IT, Finance, etc) to build capabilities and prioritize investments.

Develop and execute a product strategy that aligns with market trends, customer needs and company objectives and is consistently delivered and executed upon

Foster strong partnership with different business segments across organization, engineering, marketing, sales, compliance and other relevant departments to ensure successful product launches.

Manage product budget efficiently, making data driven decisions to allocate resources effectively.

Bring industry leading product management practices, tools, and processes to the organization to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Use your skills to make an impactImpact:

Growth - plays a critical role in implementing new Medicaid states and maintaining existing states. In addition, this role will configure the claims payment platforms to adjust for new Medicare products.

Trend Initiatives - role will configure the systems needed to support various strategic trend initiatives that payment integrity programs drive

Productivity Initiatives - this role has a direct tie in with operational efficiencies that support admin reductions; examples improving auto adjudication rates, driving increased claim automated decisioning for payment integrity reviews, applying advanced AI/Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing for medical record review

Enterprise Provider Connectivity Strategy via Availity partnership - key to interoperability strategy

Modernization - this role will supply information of how the current platform operations today and intimate knowledge of current pain points.

Personal Attributes:

Bachelor's degree

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a product leader at an executive level

Minimum of 7 years of experience managing large scale, strategic projects and cross functional teams

In depth knowledge of product management best practices, consumer experience tools, methodologies and framework

Curiosity of continually looking for improvements and innovative, new solutions

Ability to influence and drive change across large, matrix organization

Connect across the segment and enterprise to leverage and maximize Humana's strengths and capabilities to improve the experience

Viewed as partner and advocate with other process and operational leaders

Make decisions and set agenda for delivering on outcomes, and articulate barriers and challenges and create strategic scenarios for analysis and discussion.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance short term needs with long-term goals.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Clear and concise oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$181,200 - $249,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
