Description We are seeking a Sr. Procurement Consultant to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves performing high-dollar procurement, handling grant-related purchases, and managing the full process from purchase order creation to receipt matching. The successful candidate will also handle quick quotes and review purchase orders for compliance. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle high-dollar procurement, including Memorandum of Understandings and grant-related purchases Manage the full procurement process from purchase order creation to receipt matching Handle quick quotes for purchases less than 100k but more than 10k Review purchase orders for compliance with established guidelines and procedures Contribute to the current team's efforts in performing procurement duties Utilize procurement software, such as EVA and Access, to manage and track procurement activities Ensure strong customer service and maintain a team-oriented approach to work Utilize skills in Buying Processes, Government Procurement, Procurement Functions, Procurement Requests, Purchasing Procurement, and Purchase Orders effectively Handle procurement tasks for a state agency Leverage experience in industry-relevant procurement, such as Grants and Memorandum of Understandings. Requirements A minimum of five years experience in a senior procurement role Proven knowledge and understanding of buying processes Experience with government procurement is essential Must be proficient in all aspects of procurement functions Ability to manage procurement requests efficiently Experience in purchasing procurement and handling purchase orders Familiarity with creating accurate and detailed Statement of Work documents Must be able to navigate procurement software and tools effectively Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
