The Machine Repair Apprentice will installs, repairs, dismantles, assembles and maintains glass forming machines, equipment, and component parts.
Includes such skills as: Industrial Mechanical Maintenance, tube bending, welding, small machine tool operation, sheet metal work, etc.Your Responsibilities:Works from complex blue prints, manuals, and other specifications (written or verbal) to determine materials and working procedures needed for IS glass forming machines and supporting equipment.Installs, maintains, repairs, dismantles, overhauls reassembles, adjusts and tests various types of mechanisms, and component parts.Welds, brazes, cuts, etc. various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment.Performs a variety of trade functions such as a plumber, and sheet metal worker, etc. in performance of duties which require the necessary skills and working ability.
