Lead Support Desk & System Administrator WFH Flexible Fort Eustis, VA (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Fort+Eustis+VA+USA) Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionWe are seeking a Lead Support Desk & System Administrator with the following skills in the Fort Eustis area. The position requires a candidate to have an activeSecret Security Clearance.
Performs technical, operational and training support to users of personal computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other peripherals. Serves as a liaison between Tier 1, 2 and 3.
Maintains troubleshooting records and provides feedback for SOP creation by SMEs.
Creates quick reference guides on how to use systems and best practices. Responds to inbound calls and voicemails.
Ensures that reporting data has been formatted correctly before submitting to Site Lead.
Utilizes application knowledge (currently Blackboard) and actively researches knowledge boards and vendor documentation to provide targeted troubleshooting of more complex issues or trends reported from Support Desk.
Maintains Support Desk SOP and points of contact for all supported schools. Provide ad-hoc training to government instructors and training developers.
Communicates regularly with schoolhouse POCs to report issues and track user experience feedback.
Provide system support for approved services. This includes but not limited to daily system support, process improvement and maintaining accreditation documentation for multiple tiered systems.
Assess Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessments (IAVA), test and schedule mitigation tasks during approved windows.
Configure systems according to Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG), perform quarterly verification STIG checks.
Track and manage error logs to ensure proper performance of the servers and monitor capacity of integrated systems.
As the system evolves to integrate new technologies and additional capabilities are identified for implementation, the system administrator shall assist in analyzing requirements.
Execute bi-monthly and emergency maintenance windows.
Flexibility required to perform occasional after-hours maintenance tasks and emergency repairs, as needed.
Requirements
At least two years of experience as a system administrator on a Windows-based network.
CompTIA Security +CE (must be current)
MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) or equivalent Windows Server certification.
