Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of infection control and compliance with HIPAA regulations. As a key member of our dental team, you will perform patient assessments, execute medical imaging procedures, and maintain accurate documentation to support our commitment to quality dental care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and obtain medical histories.

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.

Administer local anesthesia as permitted by state regulations.

Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture high-quality radiographs.

Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.

Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Assist in the management of the dental office environment, ensuring it is organized and welcoming.

Collaborate with dentists in treatment planning and execution for general dentistry procedures.

Requirements

Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist.

Proficiency in patient care techniques and infection control practices.

Familiarity with dental imaging technologies and equipment.

Strong understanding of patient assessment methodologies.

Experience with documentation review processes to ensure compliance with regulations.

Knowledge of OpenDental or similar dental practice management software is preferred but not required.

Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $48.00 - $54.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
