Customer Service Representative

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Puyallup, Washington. The selected candidate will be part of a team that handles customer inquiries in the water utility sector. The role entails managing customer interactions, processing payments, and upgrading systems, all while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries regarding bills and payments, both current and past due Process payments accurately, both for customers who call in and those who walk in Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently Manage email correspondence with customers professionally and promptly Greet and assist customers who walk into the office Assist in upgrading the company's systems as needed Anticipate low levels of walk-ins and manage resources accordingly Handle transitions within the company smoothly and maintain a high level of service Ensure the phone system is managed effectively, as it rings throughout the day. Requirements Proficiency in delivering exceptional customer service. Experience in responding to inbound calls in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to handle email correspondence professionally and promptly. Competency in processing payments accurately and securely. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving skills to handle customer queries and complaints. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in using various software and systems for customer service. Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, and holidays if required. High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification. Previous experience in a customer service role would be advantageous.
