Position Summary:
The salary range for this position is $38,868.00 to $42,696.00, with most candidates starting at $38,868.00. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) classified-cyclic, 11.13 months, overtime-eligible position with Pierce College District. This position reports directly to the Director of Child Development Centers and Family Advocacy and requires regular and timely attendance.

This position will provide early childhood educational instruction and activities to meet the needs of children ages 1 year to 5 years enrolled in the Child Development Centers. Assist primary teachers to plan and implement lessons, supervise children, Interact with parents and other adults in center.
Required Education:
GED or Highschool Diploma.
Required Experience:
6 months working in an ECE setting.
Special Requirements
In accordance with Head Start regulations, individuals are required to have successfully completed a portable background check through the DCYF MERIT system and provide Pierce College with the results at the time of hire.
The successful candidate must consent to and pass a criminal background check after a conditional offer of employment.
Written proof of Tuberculin (TB) testing prior to starting work.
Written proof of measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine prior to starting work.
Valid Food Handlers Permit upon employment.
Valid First Aid and CPR Card upon employment.
Completion of HIV/AIDS training upon employment.
Valid Washington State Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
