Description We are in search of a skilled interim Accounting Manager to join our team based in Seattle, Washington. This position involves overseeing our financial and accounting operations, including the management of accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger entries. This role provides an engaging short-term contract employment opportunity within the finance and accounting industry. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Supervise and manage payroll process using QuickBooks and Paylocity. Conduct monthly close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entries. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. Maintain and improve procedures and systems for office administration, clerical processes, and recordkeeping. Collaborate across multiple teams, demonstrating strong communication and team player skills. Proactively identify and solve problems, demonstrating flexibility in accepting new and changing responsibilities. Ensure confidentiality and privacy of financial records. Manage financial communication across the organization, displaying excellent verbal and written communication skills. Display high organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Experience with QuickBooks and Paylocity for financial management Ability to oversee and manage month end close processes Skilled in account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records Experience in recording and analyzing journal entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and presentation Knowledge of General Ledger and its application in financial accounting Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field detail oriented certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus Proven experience in a managerial role within the accounting field.
